You will become what you believe you are. It’s a fact. It’s the self-fulfilling prophecy.
So, if you tell yourself that you’re a fat failure on a daily basis – guess what you become?
If you tell yourself you’re sick or injured constantly, you will be.
Believe me – this piece of the puzzle is an ongoing battle for many people, including me! It’s hard for me to speak kindly to myself sometimes, especially if I’ve gotten a little off track. But the important thing is that we make an effort to stifle that evil little voice inside of us that says we aren’t good enough, that we are failures.
People come to Dynamic Fitness to become a better version of themselves. We can help you with that, but it starts from within. Whether you need to recite a certain mantra of self-appreciation each morning or you develop a method for catching negative self-talk and turning it positive before it snowballs, you must commit to speaking kindly to and about yourself.
This can be as simple as saying “thank you” when someone gives you a compliment instead of deflecting it! Start to notice these responses!
What great traits and qualities do you already have? Which ones would you like to develop? What would your best friend say about you? Other people are usually so much nicer to us than we are to ourselves, when truthfully, we need to be our own biggest fans.
